What is the G-spot?

Benefits of a G-Spot Orgasm
There are many benefits to finding the G-spot and the accompanying orgasm. Among these:
- Blissful peace lasting up to half an hour
- Tremendous stress reduction
- Increased intimacy with your partner
- Orgasm powerful enough to induce female ejaculation
- Rolling waves of pleasure throughout the body
What is the G-Spot?
There are at least two popular theories about what the G-spot is exactly. To the medical community, it is “an erotic zone on the anterior wall of the vagina” that “swells out greatly at the end of orgasm.” While this might be the first medical mention of the G-spot, which was named after German doctor Ernst Gräfenberg who first included it in research, it is not often described in such formal terms.
To the rest of us, the G-spot is about the size of a quarter and it located on the inside of a woman’s vagina. It is about two inches inside the vagina on the front wall. It feels a bit different from surrounding tissue and with stimulation and orgasm will swell considerable.
G-Spot Theories
This swelling led many to believe that the G-spot is, in fact, the equivalent of the male prostrate. The official name for this would be the urethral sponge, the cushion of tissue that surrounds the urethra and sits against the wall of the vagina. While this “female prostrate” theory seems sound, others offered up a different explanation.
The clitoris, an organ in the woman’s body designed for no purpose other than pleasure, includes lines of nerves that run into the body. The G-spot, many believe is the other side of the clitoris, which explains why it is so sensitive with an abundance of nerves present in the immediate area.
A G-spot Orgasm
It is well-known that women can orgasm in many ways, and stimulating the G-spot is one of the more powerful ways women climax. With careful, deliberate stimulation to this area, it is possible for women to experience a deep, whole body orgasm that includes rolling waves of pleasure – at least according to those who’ve tried it.
It makes sense that more women would like to find this small yet highly sensitive area, and hopefully there are men out there searching on their behalf. However, finding the G-spot and stimulating it correctly is a bit more of an art than a science.
In fact, while some women are almost overwhelmed with pleasure from a G-spot orgasm, others feel discomfort or irritation when the area is stimulated. The results of even the most careful stimulation vary from person to person, but you’ll never know unless you try.
